What to expect from your naturopathic visit with Dr. Farnoush Khodarahmi, ND
Prior to your visit
Prior to your visit, you may book a free initial consult for 15 minutes and learn how we can work together to help you achieve your health goals.
You will also be asked to fill out an intake form and a comprehensive questionnaire about your health history. It is highly recommended that you bring the result of your most recent lab test (if the lab work was completed within the past 6 months).
Initial Visit: A comprehensive assessment
Your first initial session will be 60 minutes in duration. During this time, we will be going over your chief health concerns, your past medical and family medical history, your currently used medications/ supplements and identify any social or psychological contributing factors that are currently affecting your health. Your laboratory findings will be reviewed and if necessary, screening physical exams will also be performed. Pertinent to your case, I might also do a requisition for additional lab work. If indicated, I will provide you with a weekly diet diary where you will record your daily food intake for a week. I will then use that information to provide you with dietary recommendations for next visit.
By end of your initial session, I will provide you with preliminary treatment recommendations. Prior to your next visit, I will come up with an individualized comprehensive treatment plan for you.
Follow-up Visits (30 to 45 minutes):
We will be discussing your personalized treatment plan in depth during this session. I will answer any questions or concerns that you might have and make appropriate changes to your treatment plan as needed. Any new health concerns that might arise will be answered during these sessions.
After an initial session, you may book for an acupuncture session as well. There will be an on-going care and evaluation of your presenting health concerns during these sessions. If acupuncture is used, a series of 6-8 weekly sessions will be scheduled to achieve best results.
Facial acupuncture and Skin Rejuvenation (60 minutes):
Facial acupuncture is basically an alternative for a non-surgical face lift. Majority of of people see improvements after just five sessions of facial acupuncture, but ten treatments done once or twice a week will give you the best results. These sessions help minimize fine lines (i.e. frown lines, smile lines, crow’s feet), lift skin, increase collagen production, minimize puffy or droopy eyelids, soften facial scars, even skin tones, increase circulation to skin and oxygenate your skin. The Frequency of these visits will depend on your individualized needs.
